Atomizer Aerosol Generator ATM 220, 221

An aerosol generator for producing a test aerosol with defined characteristics especially for qualitative tests of filters for suspended matter (HEPA and ULPA filters), function test at laminar flow boxes and acceptance measurement in clean rooms.

It produces aerosols with known properties in accordance with the guideline VDI 3491. The generated polydisperse aerosols are mainly in the size range 0.2 to 0.5 µm with a very high permanence of the particle size distribution and a defined and high particle number concentration.

A further range of application for aerosol generators is calibration of measuring devices and visualization of currents. That enables measurements of local velocities and flow profiles of the tracer particles by means of optical methods.

The Atomizers can also be used to disperse PSL reference materials and so to produce monodisperse particles.

Atomizer Aerosol Generator ATM 226

An aerosol generator for producing a test aerosol with defined characteristics especially for qualitative tests of filters for suspended matter (HEPA and ULPA filters), function test at laminar flow boxes and acceptance measurement in clean rooms.

Compared to Atomizer Aerosol Generator ATM 220 or ATM 225 this instrument features a compact stainless steel housing (easy-to-clean), a direct connection with mains supply and a higher mass output.

It produces aerosols with known properties in accordance with the guideline VDI 3491. The generated polydisperse aerosols are mainly in the size range 0.2 to 0.5 µm with a very high permanence of the particle size distribution and a defined and high particle number concentration.

Topas

Topas Aerosol Generator ATM 228

The aerosol generator ATM 228 contains a brushless compressor, which means no external compressed air supply is required for operation.  Flow rate is controlled by a differential nozzle pressure control, allowing for a reproducible and stable generator operation, even at very low air flow rates and particle production rates.  The ATM 228 produces aerosol from pure liquids, solutions and suspensions.

Topas

Atomizer Aerosol Generator ATM 241

The generator is designed for generation of tracer particles, verifying measurements in very large clean rooms and for tests of HEPA and ULPA-filter media.

It produces aerosols with known properties in accordance with the guideline VDI 3491. The generated polydisperse aerosols are mainly below 1 µm with an excellent constant particle size distribution and defined and high particle number concentration.Suitable liquids are e.g. DOP, Emery 3004, DEHS, salt soultions and it can be also used to disperse PSL reference materials.

By varying of nozzle pressure, number of switched-on nozzles and the aerosol temperature (besides ATM 241) one can adjust both particle production rate and particle size distribution in a wide range.

Topas

Topas Aerosol Generator ATM 222

The aerosol generator ATM 222 combines technical features from both the ATM 220 and the ATM 228 to create an instrument used for the long-term stable generation of test and calibration aerosols from pure liquids, solutions and suspensions.  The propellant gas flow is controlled by the pressure drop over the nozzle.  Aerosol generation is reproducible and stable, even at low air flow and particle production rates.

Topas Self-Adjusting Aerosol Diluter DIL 540/C

The aerosol diluter DIL 540/C self-adjusts to maintain the desired dilution factor despite changing operating conditions.  This mobile unit is particularly useful for the verification of test aerosols used for testing cleamroom installations.

Topas

DDU Diffusion Dryer DDU 570

The diffusion dryer consists of an Acrylic tube filled with silica gel with 2 caps on its ends and tube connectors. The aerosol streams through 3 screen pipes surrounded by dry silica gel which serves as drying agent.

Because the aerosol does not get into contact with the drying agent there is nearly no loss of particle material.

Topas

Topas VDS 562

The Topas VDS 562 Variable Dilution System was developed so that users can lower the concentrations of highly concentrated aersol samples using a single diluter.  The instrument can be calibrated for vaious flow rates between 28.3 l/min-100 l/min, and dilution ranges up to 1:100,000 at the time of purchase.  The VDS 562 features negligible pressure drop and no external dilution air requirement.

Rectangular Sampling Probe SYS 529

The sample probes have a rectangular inlet which is gradually reduced to a circular tube connector.

The design of the probe is based on the ISO CD 14644, Part 3 which defines a maximum width to height ratio of 1:6.

The manufacturing process ensures that all internal surfaces are polished to avoid material deposits and their potential to create false test results.

Sample Switching Unit SYS 520

The Laser Aerosol Particle Size Spectrometer series LAP can optionally measure two different samples by using the Sample Switching Unit SYS 520. The instrument was especially developed for this application and realizes a quick changing between sample flow I, a flushing routine (HEPA-filter) and sample flow II.

Controlling the switching unit is only possible with the aerosol spectrometers series LAP with sample switching option. If you do not have such a LAP 320/U or LAP 321, Topas can install the needed control output in your instrument.

Dilution System for Aerosols DIL 550

The dilution system is designed to accurately dilute aerosols to produce a defined particle concentration and carry out certain measuring tasks.

The main application of the dilution system DIL 550 is in the verification of test aerosols for testing clean rooms. By using the dilution system DIL 554 upstream of a particle counter, e.g. LAP 322, a dilution factor of up to 100 can be achieved. Thereby particle concentrations of  >106 Particles per cf (1 cf = 28.3 l) can be reduced to 104 cf–1. This will put the particle concentration well within the range of standard particle counters.
